Dopamine Shop (dopamine-shop.com) is a free entertainment website — a parody online store where nothing is sold and nothing ships. Because there is no real commerce here, we collect far less information than a typical website. This page explains exactly what we do collect, how advertising works on the site, and the choices you have.

What we do not collect

We do not sell products, so we never ask for or store your real name, shipping address, phone number, payment card details, or bank information. The checkout on this site is simulated: no payment is requested, processed, or stored, ever.

What we do collect

• Local browser data. Your fake cart, your "almost-spent" total, sound and language preferences, and game progress are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us unless you join the leaderboard.
• Optional leaderboard accounts. If you choose to create a leaderboard account, we store only your chosen username and a securely hashed password — no email address, no real name, and no payment details. Your username and fake "almost-spent" total appear on the public leaderboard. You can stop using the account at any time; contact us to have it deleted.
• Basic analytics. We use a lightweight, self-hosted analytics script to count page visits and clicks on the site's own promotional banners. This helps us understand which pages people enjoy. It is not used to build advertising profiles.

Advertising and cookies

Dopamine Shop is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

Children

The site is a general-audience entertainment website and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Leaderboard accounts require no personal information at all.

Data retention and deletion

Local browser data can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data. To delete a leaderboard account, email us and we will remove the username, password hash, and associated scores.
